Getting in shape is a lot like getting out of credit card debt.
Not only does my body require a rigorous workout to work off the calories I consume each day (I'm addicted to snack food and sweets), I have to exercise extra long and hard to compensate for all the years I've been lazy.
When you don't exercise, the calories keep piling up like compound interest. Metabolism slows and bulges form. Now it takes months of sweat and extra effort to get where you want to be.
A zero balance. A toned size 4.

i'd be happy at a size 10 or 12!!!! have you found any tricks to cutting the sweets? i'm totally addicted to sugar. i cut it out (cold turkey) for a few months at a time and then i find myself eating it again. i'm 227 and dream of 150.
I'm full addicted to sugar. And not chocolate either - the pure unadulterated white stuff. I think my problem is I never get full on the good stuff. I'm not a cook, so my meals are usually small, simple, boring so then I reach for the sweets and salt to satisfy the void. When I find a magically solution, I'll pass it on!
Correction: fully and magical.
My brain is tired!
i don't cook for myself - that's a big problem for me, too. easier to eat a bowl of cereal.
Girl! I'm taking a health class this semester and realizing how terrible I have been to my body over the years. But, it's showing me how to do it right, which I never learned. Let's hope I am in good shape sooner than later! Oh, and I am addicted to Dunkin Donuts.
